Kevin Jack
Kevin Jack joined the BCN staff in December of 2017 as the Lead Pastor.
Kevin was born in West Chester, OH and graduated from Mason City Schools. He grew up at the West Chester Church of the Nazarene where he met his future wife, Bethany, in Youth Group. He later attended Mount Vernon Nazarene University and graduated in 2006 with a BA in Pastoral Ministries; and received his MA in Christian Leadership from Trinity Seminary in 2012. Out of college he and Bethany moved to Maysville, Kentucky to be the Youth Pastor at the Maysville Church of the Nazarene. Later on they planted CrossPoint Community Church in Maysville with 65 of their friends. After a decade a serving in Maysville, they began the next journey in the city of Beavercreek.
Kevin and Bethany have four children: Madi, Emily, Molly, and Parker. Kevin enjoys reading, sports, movies, and playing any type of game possible. He believes the Church is the greatest force for good that exists in the world and desires to see everyone live out their calling with courage and compassion.
Dusty Sturk
Dusty Sturk is an Ohio native, living in and around Dayton for the last decade. Having a deep passion for music and the arts, Dusty was called into ministry directly out of college after receiving a Bachelor of Music degree from Wright State University. He has had the privilege of serving in many churches around Dayton, and also as a field pastor for the Bongolo Hospital in Gabon, Africa for the past 3 years. With a heart for God, community, the arts, and coffee, Dusty and his wife Nicole are always looking for creative ways to serve Dayton by showing the love of Christ. As part the never-ending passion for continued education, Dusty is currently working on finishing his MA in theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
Dusty lives in Beavercreek with his wife Nicole and their slobbering great dane Charlie. When not in the church office, Dusty is usually found hanging out at local coffee shops, laying down groovy keyboard tracks with his band A New Creation, and looking for the newest musical gadgets and gizmos that can serve to enhance worship experiences.
Alyssa Evans
Pastor of Spiritual Formation, Alyssa joined the BCN staff in November 2013 as the Director of Creative Arts in Youth ministry.
As a freshman at Wright State University, Alyssa’s first encounter with BCN came through the Bridge Café. After finding a home at the Bridge she quickly transitioned to volunteering within the youth and worship ministries at BCN while completing her BA in International Studies. After a short stint as an AmeriCorps volunteer, Alyssa returned to Dayton to join the staff at BCN in their mission to Be Hope. As the Pastor of Spiritual Formation, Alyssa desires to create space for authentic encounters with the Divine. Her desire is that those encounters would lead people to deeper truth, healing, and wholeness for the sake of our community, city, and world.
Alyssa’s interests include international development, social justice action and education, good coffee, peacemaking, DIYing, and thought provoking books. When she’s not busy earning her MA in Social Work, you might find her spending time in nature, listening to a podcast, or participating in an impromptu dance party. She collects maps and passport stamps.

Business savvy and detail-oriented, JC oversees pastoral and support staff in daily functions and vision casting, oversees the facility and grounds, and manages all on-campus scheduling of activities.
Hailing from Hampton, VA, JC resides in Beavercreek with his wife, Sheila (Children’s Pastor), and two daughters, Morgan and Molly. He enjoys bike riding on the amazing bike paths throughout the community and Yellow Springs, cooking, reading (non-fiction only, please), watching movies, and playing sports. In fact, it’s a little-known fact that JC can juggle. When not at work or at least up at the church (which is rare), JC enjoys anywhere that it’s warm, there is sand between his toes, and the sound of the ocean can be heard.
Kiesha Plaskett
Codi & Kiesha Plaskett are coming to us from Lansing, MI. Having graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 2006, Kiesha accepted her first ministry assignment at Lansing South Church of the Nazarene as Pastor to Families with Children. She met Codi at SouthNaz and they were married in 2008 on Maui. As they continued their children’s ministry, God began to develop within them the desire to put love into action and be the church. In 2013, they led a catalytic event for the city of Lansing, I Love My City. With the support of the mayor and the Church of Greater Lansing, this event was quickly adopted as a city wide serve day! The Plasketts are excited to be a part of BCN, to get to know each family, and to love this community. Both Codi & Kiesha have grown up in Michigan, are MSU fans, love their dogs Roxy & Juno, and enjoy a good movie. Codi loves working on cars and listening to 80’s music. Kiesha enjoys crafty projects from Pinterest and cooking.
